Dear Henry Wise Wood Families:
On Wednesday, September 16, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, families are invited to experience “A School Day in the Life of Your Child” at our Annual Meet the Teacher evening.
The event will begin with a short assembly followed by a rotation through your child’s timetable. Please consider bringing your child as your personal tour guide and to facilitate introductions with teachers. Please have your child’s timetable with you; you will need to download the MyCBE PowerSchool App to see this information. Current Henry Wise Wood students will be available throughout the school to help you find the appropriate classrooms.
The format for the evening will be:

While visiting classes, teachers will share their expectations & briefly outline the course objectives and assessment practices. Please be advised that the schedule will not provide you with the opportunity to discuss your student’s progress with each teacher at this time. Once we get to know your child better, families will be encouraged to attend virtual Parent-Teacher Interviews on Monday, October 19th. If you would like to contact your child's teachers prior to Interviews, please check the website for contact information. The intent of the evening is for you to connect with the teachers and understand how your child can be successful in their courses.
If you have more than one child attending our school, please decide which classes and which teachers you would like to meet. You can meet other teachers via Parent-Teacher Interviews or email.

Parents/Guardians of students taking courses at the Career and Technology Centre are to meet in the Courtyard, where coffee will be available throughout the evening.
