Graduation Ceremony - May 29, 2026 9:00AM

The ceremony is at the Grey Eagle Event Centre

  • Graduands should arrive by 8:15 a.m., enter through the main entrance and line up by 8:30 a.m. in alphabetical order in the hallway along the northeast side of the auditorium. Surnames A – Lar will be on the far side of the hallway; Lau – Z will be on the side of the hallway closest to the entrances of the auditorium. Look for the letters on the walls
  • Graduands will be given a note card with their name and number when they line up. This is a new note card and different from the one given at rehearsal. Graduands will present their note card to the name reader before crossing the stage
  • The processional will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
  • Physical tickets are required for admission to the Graduation Ceremony – you must bring your ticket to the ceremony. The event is sold out, and you will not be permitted to enter without an officially printed ticket
  • Graduands do not require a ticket for themselves
  • Graduands are required to wear their gown, stole, cap, and tassel and are not permitted to walk the stage without them. Be sure to bring these with you. Place your tassel on the right side of your cap

Suggested Dress
  • Graduands will be wearing burgundy gowns and white/grey/black stoles, with hats and tassels
  • This is a formal event; graduands should dress accordingly. Dress pants, dress shoes, shirts, dresses, skirts, and blouses are acceptable attire. Suit jackets are discouraged, as they may be too warm
  • Wear comfortable shoes with low heels as walking up and down the stairs will be required. Do not bring a purse or other items that require carrying
  • Grad Gowns - Graduands must ensure they have their gown, stole, cap, and tassel after the Grad Rehearsal (Period 4) on Wednesday, May 20, 2026; Not in attendance at the rehearsal? Students will be able to pick up their gown in the main office during lunch or after school starting May 21
  • Graduands are responsible for the care of their gown, stole, and cap. The gowns can hold static, please consider using some static guard or pinning a safety pin to the seam on the inside of the gown • Graduands can keep their gown package; you may want to print your name on the inside of your cap
Pictures
  • During the Ceremony, a professional Lifetouch photographer will take a picture of each graduand with Ms. Smyth
  • Guests are not permitted to leave their seats to take pictures
Seating
  • Access to the seating areas will begin at 8:00 a.m. Graduands are seated in the center of the auditorium during the ceremony, and guests are seated on the main floor and on the bleachers. There is no assigned seating, but ushers will be available to provide support
  • Graduands with surnames A – Lar will be sitting on the right side facing the stage while surnames Lau – Z will be sitting on the left side facing the stage
  • Dedicated seating for guests with limited mobility is at the back of Sections 2 and 5
  • Silence all cell phones and electronic devices during the ceremony
  • All graduands and guests are expected to stay for the duration of the ceremony. The ceremony will end between 12:00 - 12:30 p.m.

  • Free parking is provided at the Grey Eagle Event Centre

  • Due to ongoing renovations, the Grey Eagle is operating with a limited parking situation and a small road closure which will cause delays for guests if specific measures are not considered by all attending (see attached document). The Grey Eagle is imploring guests to consider carpooling, ridesharing, taxis and Ubers, public transit if feasible etc. to help avoid disappointment and frustration of not being able to find parking

GRADUATION BANQUET – MAY 29, 2026 – 6:00 P.M

Grad Banquet – Reminders:

Grey Eagle Event Centre

  • DO NOT LOSE YOUR TICKETS!!!! You will need to hand in your tickets in order to enter the Banquet! (Photos of tickets will NOT gain entry)
  • Please distribute to the guests you have purchased the tickets for!
  • No refunds can be made. No table changes can be made. Guests must sit at the table assigned on the ticket for dinner and speeches, but there will be lots of time to mingle, too.
  • There are no “in and out” privileges at the banquet. Once you enter the hall you will NOT be allowed to leave and then return back into the hall. There will be security at all doors.
  • The program will commence at 6:30 p.m. sharp with speeches. If you are not in the hall by 6:30, you will have to wait approximately 15 minutes to enter so that you do not disturb the speakers.
  • Security will be checking all bags.
  • This is a school sponsored event, thus no alcohol, vaping, smoking, etc.
  • Dinner is a buffet that accommodates many dietary needs. Any notes with regards to allergies and vegan meals will be sent to the Grey Eagle staff. They will determine if the buffet dishes will be suitable or not, according to the ingredients. If not, they will prepare an entre or dish that will better suit those needs. If this is the case, there will be a “special meal” card on your table. The card can be presented at the “special meal table” near the buffet line to get the alternate meal.
