Dear HWW Students, Families and Community Members,
Starting with a celebration– congratulations to our Model UN Club for a highly successful 3rd Annual WiseMUN this past weekend. Over 200 delegates attended and enjoyed an outstanding experience. Thank you to our teacher sponsors Mr. Beland and Ms Evans and to all student organizers.
Today was an exciting day as we welcomed our Warriors for Semester 2. This is a fresh start, an opportunity for students to reflect on their successes in Semester 1 and identify what refinements they need to make for Semester 2.
Semester 1 Report Cards are viewable online as of Monday, February 2. Our course change request process remains the same, via the posted QR codes. Students should attend classes as scheduled.
We have a short week this week with a Non-Instructional Day on Friday– meaning no classes for students. Staff will focus on professional learning and collaborative work aligned with the CBE Education Plan and our Henry Wise Wood School Development Plan.
As we move into February, we honour Black History Month. Information will be shared throughout the month through our student voice Councils to highlight the importance of this month.
Wishing all of our Warriors an excellent Semester 2 start-up.
With gratitude,
Aileen Smyth
Principal
